Micah - Art, Cosplay and Photography as a hobby

Hi! I'm Micah, a hobbyist artist. Also occasionally known as a Cosplayer or hobby photographer :3

I once planned to study art after being done with high school but the prep-art school clearly indicated to me that doing art as a full time job wouldn't be it for me. Doing art for myself is way better and more fun. Fun Fact: I tried my luck with Renewable Energy Technologies and instantly realized it was a mistake..... Now I'm studying Linguistics instead haha. My two additional majors (because our school is kind enough to force us to do 2 others) are philosophy and literary & cultural studies :3 

Generally speaking my other interests next to creative stuff lay in languages (clearly no surprise), music, swimming and staring at night skies. Great hobbies I know :D XD

This website was originally built with the intention of being used as a portfolio but as we know, I don't go to an art school. So now it's simply an attempt at displaying my works in a nice way I guess. It is rather rare that I come here and upload something though because I have to put in so much more effort than when posting on Social Media... But due to certain circumstances..... This got a big revamp! Not yet fully done but very different to before already! :D

My works usually consist of quite a lot of fanart. More specifically fanworks to shows I tend to get addicted to and which then will be my only focus for a while. Hence I have tons of art for some of the same shows again and again over the years. Some of them would probably be Voltron, Naruto and Detective Conan. Lately it's been overrun by Link Click!

However! I do also have quite a bit of original art. It's mostly random and I rarely give my original characters the attention they deserve so it tends to be random characters instead.... And: It's often based on random ideas I got, occasionally practice of different coloring and lining techniques etc.
Still though... Despite the lack of attention I give them, I DO own a few original characters! They just sadly go missing every time I forget they exist which happens far too often :D
